Headache Journal – Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 23, 2026
Headache Journal is designed to respect your privacy. Your headache logs, trigger history, and medication records stay on your device and, if you choose, in your personal iCloud account. Headache Journal does not run its own servers or create user accounts.
What Headache Journal collects
Headache Journal is developed and operated by Foster Apps LLC. The app stores your headache entries, trigger tags, symptom notes, and medication logs on your device and, if enabled, in iCloud so they sync across your Apple devices.
Headache Journal does not:
- Sell your health data.
- Track you across other apps or websites.
- Use third-party advertising SDKs.
- Share your personal or health information with any third party.
- Require an account or email address.
iCloud backup
If you enable iCloud backup in Headache Journal Pro, your headache data is stored in your personal iCloud account under Apple's terms and encryption. Foster Apps cannot access this data. Apple may process basic analytics related to your iCloud account and device as described in Apple's privacy policy.
Push notifications
Headache Journal can send local reminders to log headaches. These are scheduled entirely on your device — no notification data is sent to external servers. You can manage or disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
In-app purchases
Headache Journal Pro is available as a subscription through Apple's App Store. All billing is handled by Apple. Headache Journal never sees your payment details. Subscription management and cancellation are handled through your Apple ID settings.
Doctor reports
When you export a PDF report, it is generated entirely on your device. Headache Journal does not upload your data to any server to produce the report. Sharing is handled by iOS's system share sheet — the data goes only to the destination you choose.
Support email
When you email support at support+headache@fosterapps.com, the contents of your email are stored in your email provider's systems. Please avoid including sensitive health information in support requests.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Headache Journal evolves. When it changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of the page will be revised. Significant changes may also be mentioned in release notes.
