Stead – Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 1, 2026
Stead is designed to respect your privacy. Your home details, maintenance tasks, and service records stay on your device and, if you choose, in your personal iCloud account. Stead does not run its own servers or create user accounts.
What Stead collects
Stead is developed and operated by Foster Apps LLC. Stead stores your home information, maintenance tasks, seasonal checklists, and service history on your device and, if enabled, in iCloud so they sync across your Apple devices. Stead does not create its own account system.
Stead does not:
- Sell your data.
- Track you across other apps or websites.
- Use third‑party advertising SDKs.
- Share your home or personal information with any third party.
iCloud and Apple services
If you enable iCloud for Stead, your data is stored in your personal iCloud account under Apple's terms and encryption. Apple may process basic analytics related to your iCloud account and device as described in Apple's privacy policy.
Push notifications
Stead can send local maintenance reminders. These are scheduled entirely on your device — no notification data is sent to external servers. You can manage or disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
In-app purchases
Stead Pro is available as a subscription through Apple's App Store. All billing is handled by Apple. Stead never sees your payment details. Subscription management and cancellation are handled through your Apple ID settings.
Support email
When you email support at support+stead@fosterapps.com, the contents of your email are stored in your email provider's systems. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in support requests.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as Stead evolves. When it changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of the page will be revised. Significant changes may also be mentioned in release notes.
