Sourdough Tracker – Privacy Policy

Sourdough Tracker is designed to respect your privacy. Your starters, feeding log, photos, and settings stay on your device, plus your own iCloud account if you turn on sync. Sourdough Tracker does not create user accounts, does not show ads, and does not sell or share your data with third parties.

What Sourdough Tracker stores

Sourdough Tracker is developed and operated by Foster Apps LLC. The app stores your starters, feedings (amounts, ratios, times, and notes), photos you attach, and your settings on your device. Foster Apps does not receive this data and does not store it on any Foster Apps server.

Sourdough Tracker does not:

• Require an account or email address.
• Show advertising or use advertising identifiers.
• Track your location.
• Sell your data or share it with third parties.

Feeding photos

If you choose to add a photo to a feeding, Sourdough Tracker asks for access to your camera or photo library at that moment. Photos you attach are saved inside the app on your device. The app never reads the rest of your photo library, and photos are not sent to Foster Apps.

Feed reminders

If you turn on feed reminders, Sourdough Tracker asks for notification permission and schedules reminders locally on your device. No notification content is sent through a Foster Apps server.

Optional iCloud sync (Pro)

Sourdough Tracker Pro can sync your starters, feedings, and photos across your own devices using your iCloud account. This data is stored in your private iCloud storage under your Apple ID and is governed by Apple's privacy policy. Foster Apps cannot see it. You can turn sync off in Settings. You can also export your feeding log as a CSV file at any time.

Anonymous usage and error reports

Sourdough Tracker sends a small number of anonymous events to a Foster Apps service, such as the first time the app is opened, when you reach the paywall, when a purchase completes, and when an error occurs. Error reports include the error message, technical details of where it happened, and the app version. Events are tied only to a random identifier created when you install the app. They contain no name, email, advertising identifier, location, or the contents of your starters, feedings, or photos, and they are used only to understand how the app is used and to fix bugs.

If you have enabled "Share with App Developers" in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements, Apple may also provide anonymised crash reports to Foster Apps.

In-app purchases

Sourdough Tracker Pro is available as a subscription through Apple's App Store. All billing is handled by Apple. Sourdough Tracker never sees your payment details. Subscription management and cancellation are handled through your Apple ID settings.

Children's privacy

Sourdough Tracker does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The app contains no advertising, no account creation, and no social features.

Support email

When you email support at support@fosterapps.com, the contents of your email are stored in your email provider's systems.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as Sourdough Tracker evolves. When it changes, the "Last updated" date at the top of the page will be revised. Significant changes may also be mentioned in release notes.
